Lake Lesu

Lake Lesu is a lake situated near the town Lesu, on Hell’s Valley, in the Apuseni Mountains, Bihor County. The recreation area is located on the Lesu Valley, and the lake is on the Hell’s Valley, 20 km far from the road DN1, passing through Beius, then a forrest road towards Stana de Vale, through which you can reach the Massive Bihor – Vladeasa.

It’s an accumulation lake with a surface of 140 hectares, the water volume gathered, by constructing the dam on the Hell’s Valley, being of 28,3 million cubic meters.

The lake was opened in 1973 and the lake water supplies the Lesu hydropower, which was given to use four years later, in 1977.
